DJ Puffs is a Los Angeles-based DJ, cultural strategist, and community builder whose sets are rooted in joy, connection, and collective memory. For more than two decades, she has moved seamlessly between dance floors, public spaces, community gatherings, and civic celebrations, creating soundtracks that bring people together across generations, cultures, and experiences.
Puffs served as Music Director and DJ for the campaign and inauguration of Los Angeles' first woman mayor, Karen Bass, and continues to serve as her DJ for the current re-election campaign. Her distinctive sets span genres and eras, energize movements, create dreamscapes, and draw inspiration from the collective human experiences that connect us.
She approaches music as both storytelling and bridge-building. Blending genres, influences, and musical histories with intention, Puffs honors the rich cultural tapestry of Los Angeles while creating spaces where people feel seen, connected, and free.
Beyond the turntables, Puffs works at the intersection of culture, equity, and community power-building. She has become a sought-after DJ for events, rallies, and gatherings at the forefront of social justice, civic engagement, and cultural celebration. Whether performing for thousands at a public event or curating the atmosphere for an intimate gathering, she believes music has the power to transform spaces, spark dialogue, and remind us of our shared humanity.
A favorite at clubs and cultural spaces throughout Los Angeles, Puffs has collaborated with organizations including the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles, the LA84 Foundation, the Aquarium of the Pacific, Gloria Molina Grand Park, The Music Center, and Community Coalition. Her versatility, thoughtful curation, attention to detail, and commitment to relationship-building have made her a trusted creative partner for special events, campaigns, and galas across the region.
